MEET YOUR TEACHER

I am Mary Khalili, a self taught artist. I developed this clay and this process on my own, by testing again and again what paper can become.
I teach the way I work: slowly, clearly and step by step, so you understand not only what to do, but why.
QUESTIONS
-
Do I need any experience?
No. The course starts with the foundations and the recipe and builds up in order. If you have tried paper mache before and been disappointed by the results, this will make more sense to you, not less. Talent is not the variable. Process is. -
What materials do I need, and can I get them outside the US?
The course includes an international supply list, exact material ratios, and international material alternatives with product links. -
How long does one piece take?
A piece takes about a week or more from start to finish, depending on its size, its form and how long it needs to dry. That is not a week of continuous work. -
How is this different from the Recipe course?
The Recipe course is five lessons on the clay itself. The Masterclass includes the full clay recipe section, also five lessons, and then seventeen more: structure, molds, shaping, joining, my cement texture, layered painting, sealing and waterproofing. It is the whole process, not just the material. -
Can I sell what I make?
Yes. This course is for people who want to create high quality pieces for themselves or to sell. What you cannot do is resell or share the course itself. -
Can I get a refund?
The course opens instantly after purchase, so it is not refundable once access begins. If you have any trouble accessing it, email hello@studiomary.co and I will help.
